Yesterday Birthdad came over with his wife to bring Christmas presents for us, and a birthday present for me.  It was nice seeing them.  The last time I saw them was in Novemeber, when my parents and I accidentally ran into them at a pizza place.  Before that I think it may have been in March.  It's ashame we don't each other more often.  After all, we only live 10 minutes away.  I think part of it is that I don't feel like a part of his family.  I don't have the background and memories to share like they all do.  I know my half-sisters on that side are very close to each other.  All of the siblings have a bond that is strong and established, and I'm just not a part of that.  It doesn't hurt.  It doesn't make me sad.  It just is what it is.  And I'm perfectly fine and content with the way it is.  I never thought I'd be, but I am.  Besides, I think I have a strong bond with my half-sis on my birthmom's side.  She and I are a lot alike. Isn't it funny how you gravitate more to one person than others in a reunion?

Absolutely.  I couldn't agree more and feel that same way.  Although I don't know my birthdad's side, I find that I have the same thing with my birthmom's side of the family.  I'm alot closer with the older siblings than the younger ones.  The only time the younger ones contact me is when money is needed.  I've about given up on that.  The younger ones tell my bmom that they don't contact me because they were so much younger than all the older siblings (which they are) that they really haven't bonded with any of them.  BUT they can contact me for moola.  Most of the time it's for a good reason like going in on a gift for my bmom and what not, but geesh.  LOL

so far I get alone with everyone. bobby (bbrother on bdad side), we get along great. there is still 3 more girls on bdad side that i havent talk to yet. one of the girls found out about me, we made contact, and now she dont want anything to do with me at all.. she has nothing to do with any of her family, so i know it is just not me.
I did send her a christmas card just to see if she would send one back and she didnt. I told bobby that i was done with this girl and if she ever whats to make contact with me it will be ok, but i'm done being a nice girl with this girl.
