The week after I first met my birthmom face to face she sent me a clock made of myrtle wood (native in Oregon).  Along with it she sent me a letter basically stating that like the clock we can't turn back time but we can go forward in time with our relationship and future reunited.  It meant alot to me because I knew that I didn't have to look back and wonder why's of things but look to the future of our relationship.
