Jamba Juice is a place where you can get Fresh Smoothies - YUM. 

They closed campuses some time ago and have security at the schools because of events like Columbine.  It's for the kids safety but alittle messed up for the ones who are 18 and over and finishing up their senior year.  They had asked Anthony if he wanted to go with them and he told them that he couldn't.  Jeff congratulated Anthony on his "SMARTS". 

The kids had a blast and I'm happy to state that the mother of that girl had a meltdown and allowed her daughter to attend the prom.  Anthony said that they didn't get back to Brit's house until 5 a.m.

When we took Anthony over to Brit's house the girls weren't ready yet.   So I left my camera with Emily's mom (Emily was Anthony's date).  They also had group photos taken at a place called one hour photo where they do portraits.  The store was closing when they arrived and the guy took their pictures but they couldn't get them until yesterday.  Hopefully I'll have all the pics in the computer tonight.

I gotta tell ya - Anthony looked so handsome in his tux.  Black tux with a white shirt and silver (paisley) vest.  His date wore a turquoise dress. 

I hope this works.  Here's a few of the informal ones taken by friends.  He doesn't have the formal ones yet and the few that are on my camera haven't been downloaded onto the other computer.  I had to ask him about the one with him and one of the chickadees getting their "groove on"  LOL.  The pics are kind of dark but can't help that.  The guy with the full beard is a Senior - his name is Akash.  Nicest kid you'll ever meet.

Looks like he had a blast!  He really looks so handsome in his tux, you were right!  Glad he had a great time, and arrived home safely!

Those are awesome photos and Anthony looks soo cute all tired out.   I am glad she was able to go to the prom, thanks for clarifying why that was such a big deal.  We always had open campus lunch if we were juniors/seniors unless we really screwed up, which did happen a couple of times.

Ya know here we have another issue... one of our local school is bent over same sex couples going to the prom together.  In this case it happened to be two girls... one of whom had already graduated the year before.  However, I can sort of understand it because it is a catholic private school.  But even the parents were outraged at how closed minded the superintendent and staff were being.  The girl ended up going "stag" and she said she felt she did not have the same experience she would have had her girlfriend been there with her.  How sad. 

So on the upside, the city has decided to allow having an alternative prom at another location hosted by a gay/lesbian and transgendered group for couples who cannot attend their own proms because of same sex couples bias.  I thought it was awesome that the group was paying for it.  Amazing what a little negative publicity can do.

I must be losing my mind...

There's something I forgot to tell you.  Anthony was nominated as Prom King and came in 2nd.   So.... that made him Prince of the Prom.  Here's a pic of him and a friend.  You can't see it real well, but Anthony is wearing the sash they gave him when they made him prom prince.  Good grief!!!  I can' believe I forgot all that - LOL  I must be losing it!!!
