Duchie - I can't believe that I am back almost a year to to the day - what it is with March20!!!! 6 hours ago, you responded to my March 20, 2007 post!
My boys are almost 6 now - finishing up k-garten, it's amazing how tall they are, I feel like their feet are going drag when I have to carry them (they've been sick alot lately). Stephanie will be 2 this summer - she is smart, beautiful and refuses to talk. She believes that she IS a princess and that the world will continue to do her bidding. We have recently started "timeouts" for her - since she's not quite 2 they are very short, but throwing plates, cups and food at meal time is NOT acceptable - LOL. Other than that she is as Matt says "pathologically happy" - if cheerleading didn't already exist she would invent it - she claps her hands and smiles for everything!!!

I'm glad that everything is going well it's just hard to believe that the boys will be starting 1st grade next year. Hopefully Stephanie will learn real quick with the time outs. As you know she's just testing the waters to see how far she can push things. Anthony did it and after time out he would just get mad and slam his bedroom door screeching "NEVER NEVER NEVER". LOL Jeff and I used to get a giggle out of it because he was so serious.
Has Matt been away much? How's the new digs? Do you like your new surroundings?
Matt's ship has *about* 60 day patrols, the first one was brutal - we were able to talk nearly everynight but weren't even close to being unpacked when he left - the second was a drug patrol so he was waaaaaaaaaay south, and no cell coverage.
The Oregon coast is pretty - but rains alot, we got really spoiled living inVA. And, it's a 2 hour drive to Portland from here - Andrew had to have eye surgery so i've made the drive a ton of times - but it's nervwracking in the winter (icy curvysteep roads).
But, ya know - it'all good :)
We laugh at Stephanie too - she seems to like timeouts, probably becuase she's watched to boys go in to so many - and yes, the terrible toos are MUCH funnier this time around!
And, since this is the adoption board, not just general - we just got word that the boys' b-Mom is engaged and expecting again :) I'm really happy for her, she was in rehab a while back and met him AFTER so he doesn't have any of the habits her exes have had!!

I'm glad for their birthmom. It's been a long road for her. Will the boys be able to communicate with their sibling?
I too love the Oregon Coast. We go up to the North Bend, Coos Bay area quite a bit because that's where some of my birthfamily lives. One of my brothers is looking at a job in Portland. He used to live up there a while ago and came to California for awhile. He's glad to be in the Oregon area again.
My aunt and her husband (before he passed last year) used to fish on the upper coast of Oregon. GREAT salmon fishing.
Gosh with Matt gone 60 days at a time that's got to be tough on you and the kids. But I bet that you're glad that he's in the country instead of some far off place!!
