Well, I've never dated much... but I'm actually considering....

Am I the only single on the scene these days? How terrifying is to date these days? Are there new things I need to know? So far my grand total of dates is...
1. And a half. I think. Not sure it was a date... but it felt date-like. :scrunches forehead: Can you tell by who pays? If you pay for yourself is it Not a date? If she pays for me is it date? If I pay for her?
oy! Maybe I'm not ready! lol.
I think dating is going to require a lot of alcohol. Anyone want to share a pitcher of margaritas?

I nearly died laughing when I read "If I pay for her?" I have sex on the brain because my first reaction was "hooker"
Dating, hmm considering I got into this relationship by my persistance in making friends with the "tech" guy at the college I attend and him asking me if I had ever seen Polar Express last New Year's eve and if I wanted to see it at his place (simple innocent evening amazingly enough).
I can tell you I have tried Internet dating, I have never felt like a piece of meat until I started that and ohhh the idiots I had to go through! I have come to the conclusion finally that you have to be friends before you can get involved. Been down the" just sex" road and it's not for me.
But follow me here woman! I'm a dating baby. I know nothing! :sigh: She did buy me a christmas present. lol. And I STILL don't know if it was a date! :rolls eyes:

I think it would depend on who asked who to dinner. That would determain if it were meant as a date or not. Does that make sense..so, this is what I would do..if it was enjoyable and she's still around..when you have a few extra bucks you ask her out to dinner or coffee...that would be a date. :)
oh lordy. I don't remember who actually asked.. I think it was her. Either way... I like the idea of asking HER and paying... that way I know it's a date... lol

I don't have any real wisdom to offer - I've decided that I just don't like the whole 'dating game' - cuz, ya I tried it on & off over the past year and it felt very game-like - k, I'm gonna stop now b/c I'm feeling rather cynical about the whole topic at the moment...
I must still have sex on the brain because playing by my rules means a whole nother thing.
