What's the BEST thing that happened to you today?

This is an ongoing thread I participate in a lot at another forum... the idea is just to tkae a minute to say... something great happened to me today!

Or... to take a crappy day and cheer YOURSELF by saying... hey it wasn't all bad... thishappened to me and it was good.

SO!

My best thing today is that I'm going out to a party with a bunch of friends!! And it's my first OFFICIAL weekend off! :)

So... carry on!  Try to keep this going I promise it's worth it... sometimes you just need that .. reminder.

Good idea Sarie!!!

Hmmm - it's still early yet, but the best thing that has happened today is that my 120 lb lab is finally leaving my 5 lb dachsund ALONE (she was in heat).  Now I don't have to hide her anymore in the house so he couldn't get to her.  LOL

The best thing that happened to me today....my son talking, talking, talking up a storm.  This week he has just started repeating EVERYTHING.  (Even the things he shouldn't repeat!  I need to start watching my language!)  And of course his hugs and him saying, "Wuv-ooo".  But that makes my day every day.

My first grandson turned 7 today. I had Courtney's party today to celebrate her upcoming 9th and it turned out pretty good.

Went to CHURCH! I have weekends off now and I plan on hitting church EVERYWEEK. It was a beautiful service, at this fantastic church and I can't WAIT to become an actual member now.

Annie that's so cute!

My best thing is that I've narrowed down my new-car choices to either a Hyundai Elantra or Accent... and I will be buying (financing with help) one by the end of June!! :)

SO exciting!!

Awwww, Happy Anniversary, Dutchie!  Is it me, or does it seem like you just celebrated your 25th last week?  Man time flies!  Hope you and your hubby enjoyed each other's company, and did something special!

Sarie - That is sooo cool.  Congrats dear. You deserve it!  I am glad you are enjoying church.

Duchie - Happy Belated Anniversary!

Tami - Glad to hear your daughter is a-ok.  Car accidents even minor ones are scary.

As for my good news, I stayed up until 4am reloaded my comp.. now it runs like it was when it was brand new.  :) And my boss at work gave me a lavendar plant.

!  Went with a bunch of my friends to the True Colors tour show in Dallas and it was FANTASTIC!

It was put on by the HRC (Human Rights Campaign) and endorsed by the Matthew Shepherd Foundation.  It was AWESOME!  My first real non-classical concert and it was so amazing I LOVED it!

We had AWESOME seats (technically our ((free!)) tickets were for the lawn, but because we got them from someone who works at the arena, he clued us in to a sectin of fold-outs in second tier that didn't get sold and we sat there instead.  It was PHENOMENAL!

And for such a fantastic cause!  Which is good, since I sank like $60 into concert Swag!!

lol

Best Day EVER!  It was fantastic!

I FINALLY got to drop my car off to get it repaired.  It's been more than a MONTH since the accident and Geico finally got off their asses and got me some service.
