I did some checking on the michigan.gov site... I found out a couple of things that I was unaware of. Considering my circumstances about knowing my birth parents, I really did not have a need to know this information.
However, something I learned was that I can sign a release of information so I can be found by any siblings through the state.
Remember that issue with there may very well be another child out there? Well this way, if someone else can put two and two together. I will have the proper paperwork in place so that sibling can find me. I am filling it out today and putting it in the mail tomorrow.
Just wanted you great ladies to know what I am up to.
They have something like that in fl. but at that time I wasnt ready to be found lol. lyn isnt your bmom here in fl? maybe check it it out and see if there is any more kids here. where were you born at in fl. or michigan?
That is a GREAT idea! My DD is the youngest of 6, I know that the 2 oldest are with their bio dad, and the next 3 were taken by the state, and I *think* adopted by their Aunt. In either case, the family was unable to take Miss Steph as well... I have no last names, though - and, don't know for sure, but assume at some point her b-Mom will spill that there is another baby out there.
With the boys (they have 4 bio half brothers on their bio-dads side)- I have last names for 3 of their brothers, but no clue on the other one just a first name for him and his mother.
On a happy note though - their b-Mom is doing REALLY well, engaged and pregnant again :) Still waiting for dates.....
