What are you reading?

Right now I am reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.

-An angry rebel, John dropped out of school and enlisted in the Army, not knowing what else to do with his life--until he meets the girl of his dreams, Savannah. Their mutual attraction quickly grows into the kind of love that leaves Savannah waiting for John to finish his tour of duty, and John wanting to settle down with the woman who has captured his heart. But 9/11 changes everything. John feels it is his duty to re-enlist. And sadly, the long separation finds Savannah falling in love with someone else. "Dear John," the letter read...and with those two words, a heart was broken and two lives were changed forever. Returning home, John must come to grips with the fact that Savannah, now married, is still his true love—and face the hardest decision of his life..

I'm reading Broken Flower.  It's the first of a two part Early Series.

Hey Trina did you know that they're making a movie out of her book "Rain".  They'll release another copy as a tie in sometime this year.

A text book for fun? Is that possible?? So how wrong was Darwin??

I saw Flowers In the Attic on TV, was not thrilled with the characters. Those books are interesting to say the least, after reading Petals In the Wind and Flowers, I never picked up any of the other ones. What ever happened to the two main characters? The girl and boy?

Lisa what is For One More Day about??

LOL.

The book looks at sexuality and sexual selection in the natural world. How many species of animals actually have more than 2 genders, some as many as 5 (3 male and 2 female for example), and about how partnerships and pairings and matings work in other animal species. It's really fascinating actually.

But I get a huge kick out of all this biological imperative stuff, the idea that there's more than just the male-female dynamic built into nature for a variety of reasons. It's really interesting!

:)

:puts on nerd glasses and walks away:

I'm also reading a thesaurus!
wait... that doesn't help my cause does it?

It's called the Thinker's Thesaurus and it's AWESOME!

btw... we need a nerdy smilie... just sayin.
